Летающий А. Эспаргаро побил рекорд WSBK на португальском тесте MotoGP

Первая половина 2-дневного теста Michelin на португальской трассе Альгарве стала интересной смесью мотоциклов разных миров — прототипов MotoGP и дорожных супербайков, деливших трек в среду. В четверг такого не будет — постоянным гонщикам нужно отбыть в Ле-Ман на ГП Франции. Испытатели продолжат в одиночку.

5 тест-пилотов MotoGP подбирают для своих команд передаточные числа КПП, настройки электроники и подвески для холмистой трассы с 15 поворотами. Aprilia использовала регламентное право задействовать гонщиков Алейша Эспаргаро и Брэдли Смита на прототипах RS-GP, прежде чем подключить испытателя Лоренцо Савадори днем позже.

Остальные 14 пилотов изучали трассу, которая впервые попала в календарь чемпионата, на серийной технике. Ducati снабдила Андреа Довициозо и Данило Петруччи крылатой 230-сильной пушкой Superleggera V4, Валентино Росси и Маверик Виньялес красовались на Yamaha YZF-R1 в официальной ливрее Monster Energy Yamaha, Такааки Накагами — на Honda CBR1000RR-R.
